Voter Registration
Visit the Colorado Secretary of State’s website to check your current Colorado voter registration information, or to change your address, party affiliation, or permanent mail-in ballot status. If you are registered as a permanent mail-in voter, you may also check the date a mail-in ballot was sent to you.
Breckenridge electors may also register to vote or change voter information at the Summit County Clerk and Recorder’s office, located at 208 East Lincoln Avenue in Breckenridge. For further information, contact the Summit County Elections Deputy at (970) 453-3479.
Requirements to register to vote in Colorado:
- To register to vote in Colorado, voters must reside in Colorado no less than 22 days before registering
- To receive a ballot for an upcoming election, voters must be registered and in “Active” status
- Before submitting a ballot for the first time by mail, voters must present an acceptable form of identification if they did not provide one at the time of registration
- Skip the trip and a paper form and register online for the first time or update a current record, at GoVoteColorado.gov
- Voters may also fill out, print, and sign a paper form to submit to the Summit County Clerk and Recorder’s Elections Division
