How to obtain a copy of a Police or Accident Report:
Most police reports are public information and can be obtained by filling out a request form.
The request form needs to be on file before a report is released. To obtain copies of police reports, click on the online request form link located above. Copies of reports are usually available 3 to 5 days following the incident.

You can obtain crash reports from http://www.crashdocs.org/
You wIll need the crash report number, date of crash and name of person involved.
Copies of police reports are $.25 page. There is no fee for reports less than 10 pages sent electronically.
There are additional fees for copies of photographs and cases requiring extensive research.
Copies of Case Reports - $.25/per page Background Check - $10.00 Copies of Traffic Accidents - $.25/per page
Research Fee - $30.00 per hour Body / Dash Cam - $5.00 MIN Digital Photo / Recordings - $5.00 MIN
Background Checks:
To obtain a Town of Breckenridge background check, you must come to the police department during business hours. The cost is $10.00.
You may obtain a State of Colorado background check by contacting the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. The cost is $4.00.
Fingerprints:
The Breckenridge Police Department no longer provides fingerprinting services to residents and businesses of the Town.
All fingerprinting services will be done at the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
