Solar Garden Open House
The purpose of the open house is to inform the public about the Town’s upcoming potential Solar Garden Project. The Town is hoping to facilitate construction of a substantial solar array, the output of which can be purchased by local Town and Summit County citizens and businesses to offset their own usage. By participating in the Solar Garden, subscribers will both save money and be purchasing locally generated green power. If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to explore for your home and/or business, please try to attend. We will cover many different aspects of this project, including how Solar Gardens will work in terms of both public and private uses, potential ownership models, proposed locations and sizes for the array, and long term benefits to the Breckenridge Community. There will be a Q&A session, and attendees will also be able to sign up for future informational updates for the project. This session is meant for the Town to gauge interest in the project as much as it is to inform and take input from the public about the location and impacts of the project.
