Peak 6 Social Issues Task Force Public Meeting
Task force members to share findings, seek feedback
The Task Force has been studying socio-economic comments received during the NEPA scoping process for the potential expansion of the Breckenridge Ski Resort onto Peak 6. The Task Force is able to study these issues in more detail than would typically occur as part of the NEPA process. At the meeting, the Task Force will share its findings to-date, answer questions about their deliberations, and seek feedback on their findings.
The Peak 6 Social Issues Task Force has been jointly established by the Town of Breckenridge, Summit County and Breckenridge Ski Resort as a working group comprised of Town of Breckenridge, Summit County Government, Breckenridge business community, and Breckenridge Ski Resort to study and attempt to address the social issues identified in the initial round of public comments relative to the Peak 6 expansion proposal.
The Task Force plans to deliver its findings and any recommendations to the US Forest Service to be referenced in the final NEPA documents for Peak 6. Task Force discussion and public participation are being facilitated by the Keystone Center.
